PPI Judicial Review Announcement: Rise in interest for Charter UK PPI claims management software solution
11.05.2011
Finding in favour of consumers, the judicial review has declared that PPI complaints must be processed regardless of the rule changes governing the sale of policies that were applied last year, and firms must also proactively contact customers informing them that they may have a valid complaint.
In response to the ruling, the British Bankers Association is considering its right to appeal and has stated that its members will continue to put complaints on hold in the mean time.
However, speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today programme this morning, Charter UK CEO Paul Clark commented that the challenge the banks face will be significant regardless of the High Court's ruling.
Since the announcement Paul Clark stated that Charter UK had seen an immediate rise in interest in its PPI complaint management software solution suggesting affected firms were serious about dealing with customer complaints swiftly.
